    Alaska Center for Rural Health

    The Alaska Center for Rural Health (ACRH) was created in 1987 by rural health care providers,. educators and administrators.  their mission is to strengthen systems to deliver comprehensive and culturally relevant health care to rural Alaska.

    Alaska Health Workforce Coalition

    The Alaska Health Workforce Coalition of University of Alaska Anchorage was launched to develop a coordinated, cohesive and effective approach to addressing the critical needs for health workers in Alaska.

    Alaska Medical Library

    A unit of the Consortium Library at the University of Alaska Anchorage that provides fee-based medical library services throughout the state.

    Alaska Native Knowledge Network

    A resource for compiling and exchanging information related to Alaska Native knowledge systems and ways of knowing.

    Arctic Circle

    A "virtual" educational forum hosted by the University of Connecticut with three interrelated themes: natural resources; history and culture; social equity and environmental justice.

    Center for Alaska Native Health Research (CANHR)

    The purpose of CANHR, is to promote collaborative health research, helping local and tribal people determine their health research needs and putting them together with researchers.

    Institute for Circumpolar Health Studies

    Created in 1988 to develop new solutions to health problems in Alaska and the circumpolar north.  The institute provides support and coordination for health research, information and training.

    Institute of Arctic Biology

    Located at University of Alaska Fairbanks, IAB supports faculty and post-doctoral research and graduate education in the life sciences of wildlife, physiology, genetics and evolutionary biology, ecology and ecosystems, biomedicine, and bioinformatics and computational biology.
